About
Alana Rae Isaac is a theater artist based in Washington DC and New York specializing in stage management and lighting design with experience in direction, including fight and intimacy.
Alana holds two BAs from the University of Maryland in Theatre and Government & Politics.
Alana first started practicing technical theatre in high school where she became the first student lighting designer for the mainstage productions. After shadowing a stage manager on Be More Chill’s Broadway run, she discovered a love of the craft and started the stage manager position at her high school. She carried this passion into college where she studied stage management and lighting design while developing a newfound passion for direction, fight, and intimacy direction.
She aims to create art that is inspiring, provocative, and engaging. Alana uses her craft to reflect the world as it is as well as the world she hopes it can be.
When not creating theatre, Alana can usually be found wrapped up in a blanket with a novel, out skiing with her dad, or cuddling with her two cats.
